Theming for Teens and Adults, Not Just Little Kids
Most themed rooms near the parks are built for small kids. That makes sense, but a lot of the groups booking big homes are teenagers, grown cousins, couples traveling together, or a family reunion. A cartoon bedroom doesn't do much for them.
We build themed rooms in our Kissimmee shop for the whole range of guests. Here are the themes we'd point an owner toward when the house books mixed groups, and how to make them work without leaning on characters or brands.

- Sports: a locker room, stadium, or court look. Works for teens and adults and photographs well.
- Retro arcade: neon, bold color, and a game or two. Pairs naturally with a game room.
- Space: a starfield ceiling and a ship-style bunk front. Kids like it and adults don't mind it.
- Jungle or safari: rich wallpaper, wood, and greenery. Easy to keep grown-up.
- Movie night: a theater room built around comfortable seating and good sound. See our home theater room ideas guide.
Keep it original
We design our own looks instead of putting branded characters on the wall. That keeps your listing clear of problems, and an original theme won't feel dated when a movie stops being popular.
Make it a room adults will sleep in
A teen or adult room still needs real beds, good mattresses, a place to put a suitcase, and outlets by the bed. The theme should sit on the walls, ceiling, and lighting, not make the room feel like a playroom.
Think about the whole house
One kids' room, one teen or adult theme, and a game or theater space gives every guest in a big group something. We help you decide which rooms get what. See our themed vacation rental design in Orlando page and game room ideas for Orlando rentals guide, and if you're at Reunion or Solterra, those pages cover homes there.
Common questions
What themed rooms work for teenagers?
Sports, retro arcade, space, and movie-night looks tend to work well, as long as the beds and layout feel grown-up.
Will adults book a home with themed rooms?
Groups with adults often like one or two themed spaces, especially a game or theater room, as long as the bedrooms are comfortable.
Do you use characters or brands in themed rooms?
No. We design original themes so your listing stays clear of trademark problems and the room doesn't date as fast.
Can one house have kids and adult themes?
Yes. We often mix a kids' room, a teen or adult theme, and a game or theater space in one home.
Do you build the theme in your own shop?
Yes. Wallpaper, murals, carpentry, and lighting are designed and made in our Kissimmee shop.
